The New Year is an ideal time to begin any self improvement program. And, everyone needs time out to Balance, Strengthen, Tone, Relax, and otherwise Nurture the mind, body and spirit. There is virtually no better way to care for your self than through Yoga, and Meditation. Come enjoy a fun, challenging, rewarding, and informative day as we explore the art (heart) of the ancient arts, and sciences of Yoga, and Meditation. All levels are invited. Modifications are given for each asana. We hope you will join us for another fun, and exciting Yoga, and Meditation workshop.

Itinerary:

9:00-10:00-Meditation, and Pranayama
10:00-12noon-Vinyasa Yoga (based on the Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga sequence)
12noon-12:30-*Lunch (bring your own)
12:30-1:30-Yoga philosophy, and ethics
1:30-3:00-Hip, and shoulder openers, or other body specific Asanas
3:00-4:00-Yoga Nidra, and Savasna (final relaxation)

Focus:

Asana (postures, element earth), from the Mysore style Ashtanga yoga primary series
Pranayama (the breath, element air)
Drushti (mindful focus and attention, element space)
Bandhas (energy locks, element fire)
Vinyasa (fluid movement, element water)
Relaxation through Meditation, the Breath, and Yoga Nidra (sleep)
Exploration of some of the philosophies behind this ancient science, and art

Please note:

Do not eat at least 1½ hours prior to the workshop or eat something light, and easily digestible
Dress in comfortable clothing that enables movement, with a change of clothing if you wish
Bring your mat, a pillow, towel(s), and blanket (s)
Bring your lunch and a bottle of water or more, however, we do have filtered water on site
Yoga Bags, eye pillows, yoga/exercise wear, sarongs for Savasana, etc. may be purchased
