Hoi An is a charming village located
on the China Sea midway between Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), and
Hanoi. It is an ancient city and has been designated a 'Heritage City'
by the government. You simply cannot make a
trip to Vietnam without spending some time here. There is lodging
in Hoi An to suit everyone, with budget hotels as little as $6.00. Or,
you can indulge yourself at any number of the mid to upscale
accommodations like the Hoi An Trails Resort featured here.
We first visited the Hoi An Trails Resort on our trip in October
'05 while it was just being completed. On our trip in June '06,
we had the pleasure of staying here. During off-season you can negotiate a good rate
well off the card, paying just a
few dollars more than a budget hotel. Hoi An Trails Resort is located between the 'Old Town' and
the Beach. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the staff are lovely, and the grounds remind us of our
favorite place in the world, Bali, Indonesia. |
